Injury treatment, sports rehabilitation and sports massage provided by Kirsty from K4 sports rehab

Trained and experienced to deal with injuries at any stage, from initial onset, right through to late stage and during your return to sport and life. Kirsty makes all the difference.

What does treatment involve?
Injury treatment involves a large use of soft tissue techniques. Massage is used in conjunction with other techniques including Muscle Energy Techniques, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Techniques and Soft Tissue Release.

Soft tissue techniques (for example massage) are one of the most effective methods of releasing muscle tension and restoring balance in the musculoskeletal system and plays an important roll in the prevention of injuries because it helps to create a balanced flexible and efficient body that recovers quickly after training and injury.

Common problems I treat:

  • Low back pain

  • Ligament injuries

  • Tendonitis and bursitis

  • Neck and shoulder pain

  • Overuse injuries

  • Stiffness

  • Iliotibial band syndrome

  • Headaches

  • Impingement Syndrome

  • Weaknesses

  • Poor posture

Why get treatment?

There are numerous reasons as to why you should incorporate sports massage into a training regime even after a specific injury has been treated, these include:

  • Improve performance;

  • Decrease and remove pain;

  • Increase the rate of healing;

  • Decrease recovery time;

  • Remove restrictions;

  • Increase flexibility;

  • Prevent and treat compensations;

  • Prevent injuries;

  • Improve efficiency;

  • Correct muscle firing patterns;

  • Strengthen and balance the body;

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

“I would recommend K4 Sports Rehabilitation without hesitation. I went to see Kirsty, having just turned 40, with several longstanding issues that needed rehabilitating from years of playing rugby and serving with the Army. I was also training for the London Marathon but due to several injuries, I could barely manage to walk up and down my stairs at home. In short, I needed fixing! Kirsty’s treatment ensured that I could not only complete the marathon, but that I could also become much more mobile and active with my 2 sons. I would highly recommend investing the time in yourself to be treated by Kirsty”.
